On Sunday 29th April a group of us from the Centre – staff, members, volunteers, family and friends – took part in the 2018 ‘Charity Walk for Peace’ in Windsor Great Park. Thankfully, despite the dodgy forecast it didn’t rain, and the biting cold probably made us walk a bit faster. Our 5-mile route took us past the stunning Savill Garden (quick dash into the amazing Savill Building for the best loos ever), and after crossing the finish line (some earlier than others!) we were treated to a delicious and much-needed lunch of chicken/vege biryani, generously provided by the organisers. We can also report there was no sign of any Royals taking a pre- wedding stroll in the park!
Thank you to everyone who took part, and special thanks to all our generous sponsors. We have raised over £800 so far and the money keeps coming in. We will keep you posted on our final total.
We have a shiny new email address....firstname.lastname@example.org
Our old email address is still monitored, but all replies and new emails will come from our new one.
We were honoured today when Claire and Debbie from Lee Taman hairdressers in Cranleigh came in to present us with a £400 donation from the proceeds of their Christmas raffle. Thank you, every donation really does make a difference!
Ann Towers, in her 20th year of volunteering with us, accepted the donation on our behalf.
Well, as you may have noticed, things have changed a little round here...
Our website was starting to look a little dated, so we decided a refresh was in order. Our new site has lots of extra pages for you to explore and is designed to be more responsive on mobile devices. A few things have changed behind the scenes too, but going into that would be boring.
Over the next few months a few more things will be added, so keep checking back!
We are also now on Instagram, please give us a follow @canterburycarecentre
