What our members have to say about us

We always put our members at the core of what we do, and that is what makes the Canterbury Care Centre so special to many. Here's some of the lovely feedback we have received, written by our members.

It all starts on Monday mornings, we get out 5 tables and 22 chairs. We always have 4 loves of bread for Monday lunch time.
People start arriving rain or shine at 9.30, we have tea and coffee on the go and cake ready for the hungry.
We have art on Mondays, we like to make different things using paint,  we use many colours and have even made a collage  with everybody’s  hand print.
In the afternoon on a Monday we have games in the hall, it’s always great fun, we play darts, dominoes and skittles.

We always have a puzzle on the go and also a game of Uno. (please remember when u have one card you have to say uno)
Most Thursday we do a quiz or poetry and the table tennis is up We always have a great lunch, it’s different each week, could be a curry or sausage, chips and peas.

Friday’s are our quiet days, we have colouring  or a picture quiz. It will be jacket potato for lunch.
Once a month we do craft and make some wonderful things

Special events include Sunday lunch at The Keep once a month and a fun BBQ in the summer not forgetting the seaside trip for yummy fish and chips.

Last year some of us went to Butlins in Bognor Regis  for a week.

We are a very nice group of people, all different and unique, we don’t bite but we all have our quirks everyone accepts each other.

Katherine likes to push us to our own Potential and makes us the people we are today.

We love new people Joining so come visit sometime soon and see what happens in this special place.

Thank you Katherine, Elaine and all the volunteers. - Written by V, one of our members, in June 2020
