There’s lots of things to look forward to over the next year. Our members are especially looking forward to:
Our members also are worried about the devastating fires effecting Australia, especially for one member who has family out there. We of course send our best wishes to everyone effected during this harrowing time.
Some of our members spent Christmas Day a little differently - they went out for Lunch! R,S and their family went to the Wooden Bridge for a delicious Christmas lunch and really enjoyed it
Our members all spent Christmas in different ways. A particular highlight for one member, M, was spending time with her family over Christmas. There was 8 members of her family (and the dog!) all sitting down for Christmas Lunch together. They loved having a catch up and a laugh together, and also really enjoyed watching the Tiger Who Came to Tea.
Over Christmas a lot of our members met up outside of the Centre for a Christmas drink. One of our members, R, met a group of 5 friends (with 2 being from the Canterbury Care Centre) at the Stoke Pub for a Christmas Drink! There was Christmas music playing and people dressed up as Elves.
On Thursday 19th December 16 of our members went up to Guildford Cathedral for a wonderful carol concert. They had a coffee on arrival, then enjoyed a fantastic concert in a fabulous setting. Following that was a lovely Christmas lunch (with all the trimmings!) in the Refectory!
On Saturday 21st December a group of 3 members went with the Open Hands Group from Christ Church to go and see the production of Sleeping Beauty at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. Everybody loved the pantomime, and an extra special treat was getting to meet the cast after the performance.
